Cellphone Battery Charger Goes Crazy

In 2013, LG team discussed cellphone battery tech advancements, in the hope of moving away from the established shapes and sizes we're used to seeing. Nowadays, the batteries are designed to make the most of the available s[ace inside our phones, and to power hardware which requires a more creative approach to fitting one inside, like smart watches and other wearable gadgets.

Umbilical Cord iPhone Charger
Umbilical cord and iPhone are two things you probably never imagine landing in the same sentence, much less a gadget article's title. However, you should have known that the iPhone is capable of bridging all sorts of weird gaps. The media artist Mio I-zawa has managed to create the strangest iPhone accessory you will ever come across. Instead of plugging your iPhone into the usual cord, just imagine hooking it up to a squirming umbilical cord. Once it's plugged in the cord squirms it looks like it's trying to suck the life out of the iPhone, when in fact it's restoring the iPhone back to life. People wish you couldn't hear the electronic device moving so much. It almost kills the visual effect entirely, but it is still a cool gadget in all the wrong ways.

Yo Yo iPhone Charger
Yes, it is possible nowadays to charge your iPhone the Yo Yo style! An induction powered yoyo cellphone battery charger for Apple. And of course there is a small onboard LI cell to store the electricity generated. So no need to charge as you yoyo. Yoyo and then charge.

Gypsy Thief's Steampunk Charger
If you always have had a thing for Steampunk creations, you are going to love this Steampunk iPhone/iPod charger coming straight from the Thin Gypsy Thief's Steampunk Gear. Kyle Miller (aka Thin Gypsy Thief), while giving final touches to his guitar, came up with the idea of a Steampunk dock for the iPhone/iPod. He thinks that this could be the kind of charger Tim Burton might need for his iPod or iPhone. The charger works pretty well and we hope to see it sometime at the Thin Gypsy

Toasty Charger
Designer Hyun-A Ko has come out with the Toasty Charger concept, a charger that is shaped like a toaster. It is compatible with all varying sizes of lithium ion batteries, slide one in, push the toaster handle down and when done it will pop back up again like a toast. Hmm… I often get a burnt toast.

Charge Card for iPhone 5
Sometimes your out and about and in need of a quick charge, but you don’t have a charger or even a cable with you. However, if you can get access to a powered USB port—like on a computer—and you have this bad boy in your wallet, you can get a quick boost and be on your way. Right now they’re only taking pre-orders, but the price is pretty reasonable. If you wanna buy a cellphone battery charger for your iPhone, this is highly recommend to u:http://amzn.to/1sbzHCw

Credit Card Cell Phone Battery Backup
What’s better than a charger cable that fits in your wallet? How about an actual backup battery pack? This one is only a quarter of an inch thick and can provide you with a 25% charge before requiring a recharge itself. It’s a great and convenient way to keep a little extra juice with you at all times.

Band Car Charger by Tylt
There’s not a whole lot to this one. It’s just a nice-looking car charger with a band that won’t get tangled. In fact, it’s so simple and smart you have to wonder why all chargers aren’t like this.
Anyway, as you can see there is another port on the backside of the plug, so you can actually charge two devices at the same time if you need to.
Also, yes, they do make versions of this for the home as well.

Universal Gadget Wrist Charger
A chargeable backup power source that you wear on your wrist? Sounds like a great idea…except for two little things. First, it doesn't tell time. If they could have put a little digital clock in there somewhere, that would have been awesome. Second, lithium ion batteries tend to fun pretty hot. I don’t know if you’re going to want to wear this while using it for more than 20 minutes.

Vintage Book iPhone Dock
Up next we have the first of two chargers from the “stuff that looks like other stuff” department. This one from a brilliant crafter who converts vintage books (or boxes that look like vintage books) into awesome iPhone docks. What’s not to like here?

Une Bobine iPhone Charger Stand
This is simply a charger cable that you use with the charger you already have. However, it’s completely unlike any other charger cable you’ve ever seen because it also functions as an iPhone stand. The thing is rigid so that you can bend it into any shape you wish, and obviously you can use it even when you’re not charging your phone.
